Little did he know that this encounter would be a fatal rendezvous with death. His shocked expression when he saw her pull the revolver from her purse was a mask he would wear for eternity.
She looked at him for a second before she put the revolver in her purse. The barrel felt warm against the back of her fingers while he lay sprawled in front of her. Some secrets have a short lifetime and this one had to die with him.
